TRIUMPH
LIFE CIRCLES
Questions?
A Triumph
Life Circle
is any ministry or small group of Triumph
Church
that will care for one another, identify
and pursue their God-given purposes together, and reach out to the
community.
The
Circle will have a coordinator that will maintain a roster
and encourage relationship-building and fellowship among the
members. The circle
will be conducive to more intimate relationships than can be
established in a large congregation and/or at a general service.
Focus:
To engage and involve new and existing members,
establish a member care system, and grow your team to the extent
practical.
Typical
Ministry Circles:
Choir, Men’s Fraternity, Ushers/Greeters/Hospitality, WOVEN
small groups, All The Kings Men.
Typical
Interest-Based Circles:
Book Club, Genealogy, Gardening, and more.
Typical
Age-Based Circles:
Prime Time, 2B1, CIA (Couples in Action), RALI, (Retired and
Loving It), Ladies of Grace, and more.
Traits
of A Healthy Circle
A
healthy Life Circle
is one that members desire to join because there is a closeness in
terms of sharing life experiences, challenges, and triumphs, as
well as having fun and reaping the rewards of doing for others.
The most important trait is “being there for each other
thru thick and thin” and making sure the church responds when
there is a need.
A
healthy Life Circle
is not about a process, but a natural caring, sharing, and
responding attitude that is second nature.
Life Circles are about having fun, enjoying being a
Christian, and enjoying being with fellow Christians in common
ministry and service.
Many
of our ministries already function as healthy circles, while
others just need a little tweaking to help them maximize their
impacts for the Kingdom. A
healthy Life Circle
is one of the most powerful witness tools our church can have:
people who love and care for one another selflessly.
What
Makes A "Circle":
Typical
functions of a Life Circle: Regular
meetings, prayer before events, taking prayer requests and
reporting them to office, becoming aware of special needs within
your circle and taking action and/or notifying appropriate
Pastoral staff.
Typical
activities: Cookouts,
pot-luck dinners, short trips, benevolent outreach to those in
need, and other events as desired by the Circle.
Circle
Mixers: an event
that involves the entire congregation.
